Traffic Planning & Design
You can’t get from “Point A” to “Point B” in your project unless you have an experienced engineer evaluate your plans. Allow us to help.
In today’s world, effective transportation facilities are important to commerce, tourism, economic growth, as well as our overall wellbeing we have grown accustomed to as citizens of our local communities. As our communities grow, transportation issues become more and more important. FCE understands the importance of sound traffic planning and design (tpd). As such, our firm is equipped with the tools and professionals needed to address these challenges that our clients may face. Working in conjunction with our other in-house disciplines, local municipalities, and our client, our firm has enjoyed a successful history of providing comprehensive (and in many cases- award winning) transportation services. Such services include the following:
- Roadway Design
- Expert Witness Representation
- Road Safety Audits
- Resurfacing, Rehabilitation, and Restoration
- Highway Occupancy Permitting (HOP)
- Right-Of-Way (ROW) Acquisitions
- Design Manuals and Standards
- Submission of various DOT publications and forms on behalf of the client
- Traffic Impact Statements (TIS)
- Route Studies
- Autodesk Vehicle Tracking
- Intersection Studies
- Sidewalks (e.g. ADA compliance ramps and curbing)
FCE regularly completes transportation plans and studies for cities and counties throughout our local surroundings. We have also completed traffic impact studies for clients in the private sector who are expanding their facilities or creating new commercial or residential developments.
Our close working relationships with top transportation officials, particularly with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), allows us to complete our traffic design projects on the right side of the decision-making table, keeping our communities and our client both in mind. We have the equipment, analytical techniques, and expertise to collect data and assess a client’s future transportation needs. We strive not only to anticipate trends in traffic and transportation, but also to develop safe, innovative, and practical solutions to transportation related problems. This goes hand in hand with our engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture service offerings.
