Weis Market inc.- Lititz, Lancaster County, PA

FCE has served as the civil engineer for many Weis Markets stores throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region, including the expansion of the Lititz store, located on South Broad Street in the Borough. 

The 12,000 sq. ft. expansion and extensive renovation featured an increase in parking and landscaped areas. FCE worked collectively with Lititz Borough and Weis Markets to allow the store to remain in the Borough that it has served for many years. The variances obtained allowed the store to be constructed with significantly fewer parking spaces than required by the ordinance due to a large portion of the customers walking from the nearby residential areas.

A great deal of effort was put into designing a site that could support a large enough store to meet Weis Markets’ needs while still fitting into the close-knit environment that is Lititz Borough. A detailed landscaping layout was prepared by FCE in order to accomplish this difficult task.
