Shipley Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Facility
Commercial
Shipley Fuels created two compressed natural gas dispensers with associated compressors at an existing fuel facility in York County, PA. A canopy over the existing island was also added, along with widening the access area to permit better vehicular circulation.
These changes, along with the demolition of a warehouse, required FCE to file and defend a Zoning Special Exception and acquire Final Land Development approvals.
Road right of ways and setbacks were major discussion points at the meetings. FCE developed deed searches and photo documentation to support and acquire the approvals.
Shipley Energy received grant money through DP and the Natural Gas Energy Development Program. As of 2017, Pennsylvania has over 83 natural gas fuel stations throughout the Commonwealth.
