Land Survey Technician

Position Overview

First Capital Engineering, Inc., a successful multi-disciplinary firm with excellent client relationships, seeks an energetic land surveyor technician. Our staff is the key to our success this individual shall team with other in-house professionals to offer superior services while working in an enjoyable environment. Positions not only have opportunities for advancement but have the opportunity to be mentored by various Registered Professionals.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • • Assist Project Surveyor with obtaining/organizing data to complete surveys
  • • Deed research
  • • Post survey field data processing
  • • Base plan preparation
  • • Coordination with CAD personnel
  • • Construction stake out computation
  • • Grade sheet computation

Qualifications:

  • • Minimum of five (5) years of experience
  • • Relevant experience and demonstrated expertise using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson, and in the preparation of concept/design documents a plus
  • • Knowledge of field survey operations & ability to work in field as necessary
  • • Ability to meet project deadlines within given budget limits
  • • Ability and focus on Quality Control/Quality Assurance
  • • Team Player
  • • Desire to succeed and excel in a fast-paced work environment
  • • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
