Project Overview
Lake Meade Drive is the primary collector roadway for the Lake Meade community which includes 920 homes, and accounts for about 5 miles of the 18 miles of road infrastructure maintained by the community.
First Capital Engineering was responsible for performing an evaluation of Lake Meade Drive through field observations and measurements to determine the general compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) planning documents.
FCE evaluated the need of widening Lake Meade Drive to increase safety and proposed costs of such improvements. FCE also provided recommendations of widths of roadway and shoulders and performed an assessment of the degree of rework necessary for the existing drainage system, provided recommendations on resurfacing specifications and an estimated cost for work, and provided on call consulting service for road engineering as required.
